ayam percik

Assalamualaikum..

cooking again!! last weekend, i manage to do ayam percik for my lovely hubby;) ive got the recipe (i took actually:D) from MyR website. Thousand of fabulous recipe in the MyR and even i am the regular visitor but yet i am not a members..hehehe..maleh nak sign up..so i only a silent reader (specifically follower;p). so this time, the recipe is ayam percik pasar malam (as per title in the MyR..but after did it not look like it. doesn't matter as long as the taste is there..cheh perasan). As usual, its great to share the recipe.

Ingredients:
**utk 1/2 ekor ayam

1) 1 inci halia
2) 1 inci lengkuas
3) 15 tangkai cili kering (lebih kurang la..ikut kepedasan yg dikehendaki)
4) 2 biji bawang merah
5) 2 ulas bawang putih
6) 2 batang serai
7) sudu besar kicap pekat (mine = kicap biasa yg kipas udang tu..kicap pekat xdek..tu yg xjadi itam n berkilat kot:D hehe teori aku je nih..)
8) 2 sudu besar sos tiram
9) 1 sudu serbuk kunyit
10) 1/2 cawan santan pekat
11) 1 1/4 cawan air (kalu nak byk kuah lebihkan air n santan..pepandaila balance kan..cair xpe sbb nanti letak tepung jagung..dia jadi pekat n likat..emm yummie:p)
12) Garam (ni agak2 sbb depends on kicap pekat n sos tiram..kalu dh masin letak sket jek garam)

13) 2 sudu besar gula (ni pn ikut kemanisan yg dikehendaki)
14) MSG secukup rasa (MSG = pak aji (ajinomoto)
15) 2 sudu besar gula perang (gula perang = brown sugar..kat paket dia tulis gula merah..jenuh la my hubby cari gula perang..luckily ive mentioned brown sugar..i think they hv to change the title..it supposed gula perang..at least brown sugar lebih kurang la wrna cekelat..gula merah is red sugar..:D pepandai aku jek)
16) 3 sudu besar tepung jagung (depends on kepekatan yg dikehendaki;))

Steps: (seriously sgt senang)

1) Blend sume bahan2 - kelumatan depends jgk..kalu xnak rs bahan2 tu blend la hingga lumat..some people suka ade rs2 kasar bahan2 so blend xperlu lumat sgt..
2) Gaul ngn ayam (ayam xperlu garam kunyit) - perap selama 1 1/2 jam (lagi lama lagi sedap sbb bahan2 tu sume meresap ke dlm ayam)
3) masak ayam bersama bhn yg digunakan utk perap ayam tu sume skali..sehingga mendidih utk pertama kali (mase ni kuah dh masak tp ayam separuh masak..so kuarkan ayam shj..letak la kuah sket biar ayam tu basah2 dan teruskan masak kuah)

~nak letak pedal pn bole..me+hubby like it so much..~

4) Masuk tepung jagung dlm kuah utk jadikan ia pekat n setelah mendidih agak2 dlm 2-3 minit, tutup ler api.
5) Ok ayam tadi plak bakar dlm oven/microwave pada suhu 200 selama 40-50 minit..

6) finally, curah kuah tadi ke atas ayam..atau pn percik2 kuah tadi kat ayam tu..(nama pn ayam percik kan:D)..siap utk dimakan..;)


~my hubby suka mkn berkuah,so i make the kuah so banyak..banjir jadinya:D~

~xnmpk ayam yg dh dibakar.huhu..the ayam akn nmpk itam2 kesan bakar tu..exactly like pasar mlm pnye ayam percik tu~



** even it doensn't looks like pasar mlm, but the taste ok tau..sedap banget:D ..hehehe terperasan plak..but no joking..confirm jadi pnye..bak kata pepatah ape ade pada rupe..dont judge the book by its cover..cewah;p

btw, carrot cake tu rasanya kalau tak de cinnamon mcm tak lengkap lah rasa dia. tp kalau xsuka takyah letak pon takpe...
